The Nuestro Futuro Foundation is a private foundation based in Ha‘ikū, Maui, committed to supporting community building, education, food security, and addiction recovery. The foundation centers local knowledge, lived experience, and place-based leadership in its philanthropic approach.

Originally established in 1999 to support educational initiatives in Bolivia, the foundation relocated to Hawai‘i in the late-2000s, shifting its focus to the unique needs and strengths of communities across Maui Nui. Today, Nuestro Futuro serves as both a funder and a connector, offering multi-year unrestricted support to nonprofits while actively collaborating with other philanthropic partners to amplify impact.

The foundation prioritizes trust-based philanthropy and deeply relational work. It invests in systems-change efforts such as food sovereignty, culturally grounded youth programs, and community-led journalism—supporting organizations that are rooted in and responsive to the communities they serve.
